Event Details
All the pieces in this concert were written during a golden age of British music that extended through the 20th century. From the era of popular Light Music comes Britten’s suite of miniatures and Eric Coates’s The Three Elizabeths. The regal theme continues with music from Walton’s film score for Henry V and there’s more bombast and excitement in Malcolm Arnold’s Little Suite. The concert begins with Elgar’s Froissart and ends with his majestic Pomp & Circumstance March to round off a perfect evening of musical entertainment.
