Creating tickets for a venue with different priced areas (standing / seating or Circle / Stalls)

The priorbooking.com ticketing system allows for the creation of tickets for almost every condition that an event organiser would need.

The screen for ticket creation asks you to name and create a ticket type and each ticket type has the option of multiple rates.

If you have a venue where you need to specify entrance to a different section of the building and maybe have separate charges, then ticket types is how you do it.

Here is an example of how to set up an event with entrance to Stall and Circle

Ticket type 1

The ticket type defaults to 'Standard Ticket' - change this to:  'Stalls - Unreserved Seating'

Name the first rate as something like: 'Standard ticket' or perhaps 'General Admittance'. Set the price

Name the second rate as something like: 'Concession' or perhaps 'Student'. Set the price.

Click Save and Continue

Click 'Add Another Ticket'

Ticket Type 2

Rename the ticket to: Circle - Unreserved Seating

Name the first rate as something like: 'Standard ticket' or perhaps 'General Admittance'. Set the price

Name the second rate as something like: 'Concession' or perhaps 'Student'. Set the price.

When this is published, it will show the purchaser the option of buying a ticket in the Stalls or Circle and give the option to add as many full price and concession tickets to their basket.

If you are setting up the event during working hours, please call the Priorbooking.com office for help on 01332 477575.
