Creating tickets for a multiple day event

The ticket section in priorbooking.com is designed to cope with multiple types of events and tickets. Each event that needs tickets has 'ticket types' and 'rates'.

Ticket Types

A ticket type can be either:

  • The day a ticket is is relevant to on a multiple day event e.g. day one of a Festival (you can have different rates and concessions on any ticket)
  • A part of the venue that has a different entry and / or different pricing e.g. Stalls, Circle etc... (you can set different rates to each ticket type)

If your event is over multiple days, you should use ticket types to define which date the ticket gives access to. When you arrive at the screen for creating tickets, name the first ticket as either the date or 'Day 1' and then set the prices / rates for each ticket.

You will see a tick box which is ticked by default to allow entrance to all dates. If the ticket type you have created is for entrance to only one of the dates, un-tick this box and then select the date to which entrance will be allowed.

When you save this you will be be able to create another ticket type (day 2).

Here is an example of how to set up tickets for a 3 day event:

Ticket type 1

Name - this defaults to Standard Ticket, but rename to 3 Day Ticket

Rate 1 - set this as Full price or General Admittance

Rate 2 - this may be child at al lower price or VIP at a higher rate.

This ticket will give entrance to all dates, so leave the 'allow entry on all dates' box ticked.

Click Save and Continue

Click Add Another Ticket

Ticket type 2

Name - again this defaults to Standard ticket but rename to Day 1

Rate 1 - name as you wish and set the price

Rate 2 - name as you wish and set the price

This ticket is only for entrance to Day 1 so un-tick the 'allow entry on all dates' and then select the ate to which the ticket should allow entrance. When this ticket is presented and scanned, re-entry on another day of the event will not be allowed.

Click Save and Continue

Ticket type 3

Name - again this defaults to Standard ticket but rename to Day 2

Rate 1 - name as you wish and set the price

Rate 2 - name as you wish and set the price

This ticket is only for entrance to Day 1 so un-tick the 'allow entry on all dates' and then select the ate to which the ticket should allow entrance. When this ticket is presented and scanned, re-entry on another day of the event will not be allowed.

Click Save and Continue and repeat for Day 3

Following the above should give you total freedom over ticketing for multiple day events, to set up to 5 ticket rates and allow entrance by the correct ticket at the venue.
